Dr. Rajan Lekjraj Mahtani Expects Win In The Zambezi Portland Case

The case pertaining to Zambezi Portland Cement is going on at the Lusaka High Court. This is a long pending one that was launched almost nine years back. It was launched by Dr. Rajan Mahtani, a famous industrialist and businessman. Dr. Mahtani’s popularity has increased tremendously over the past few decades, majorly due to his successful business empire, philanthropic and charitable activities as well as his companies that have been known to be people-oriented. Some of his top companies such as Mahtani Group of Industries and Finsbury Investments are the most popular and people-oriented firms in Zambia. He has also established businesses across other nations like United Kingdom and is responsible for various foreign investments within the Zambian nation.

He was also successfully handling the Zambezi Portland Cement before it was taken over by the Ventriglias. Since then, the condition of the factory has been unfortunate. Dr. Mahtani has shared many documents and evidences such as shareholder agreement, financial exhibits, and independent audit report etc that prove his rightful ownership of the factory. The Ventriglias, on the other hand, have not been able to submit any strong evidence to support their claim. On the other hand, they have been constantly trying to discredit Dr. Mahtani so that his evidences are not taken into consideration. However, all of these accusations made have been discarded by the judges as they have been fake.

The latest announcement made by the judge currently handling the case has been positive for Dr. Mahtani and negative for the Ventriglias. The case hearing is completed and the judge will come to final judgement after evaluating the submissions given by both parties, which is due December 2017.
